In this video, LTF English Trainer Mark Harrison, presents a lesson that introduces the concepts of tone and mood and how students can start to distinguish the difference between tone (an author's attitude) and mood (a reader's reaction). You will see participants listening to a song by Stevie Ray Vaughan called "Riveria Paradise" and then write a dialogue-free description of the scene that comes to mind. After participants write their descriptions, they will switch papers for a peer review session, and then attempt to identify the authors' tones. LTF Open Lessons are lessons designed to introduce math, science, and English teachers to LTF Training. These lessons, like all LTF resources, are Common Core aligned and ready for immediate use in your classroom. Download additional open lessons at www.ltftraining.org
