This black filly is truly a treasure. Venus is energetic, inherently brave, intelligent, and directable, making her a quick study. When I purchased her in May 2011 she was a yearling and had no exposure to anything other than her tiny world and had very little schooling. She barely knew how to lead. Since that time I have taught her to respect personal space, trailer load, lead without tension on the line, follow me off line, yield the hindquarters and forehand, accept a saddle, stand tied, tolerate fly spray and bathing, to name a few. She has also participated in a desensitizing clinic put on by the Scottsdale Mounted Police unit and performed extremely well with advanced obstacles such as a teeter-totter. She is also willing for farrier work and vet care and has no bad habits or vices. We are currently working on bowing. In short, Venus is a very well-mannered beautiful black PRE filly who will make an excellent mount, companion horse, or brood mare. Also, she has great p! otential for horse agility, as a working equitation horse, or trail horse. Venus has beautiful conformation with an elegant neck, low croup, good bone, and nice movement. Originally purchased as a future brood mare, she is being sold because she will be on the small side for me. I am 6'3" and I believe she will finish at around 15.2 hands. I am looking to have only horses greater than 16 hands, otherwise I would keep her. She is a wonderful horse.
